The poem "Birdie Will you pet" is written by W.Allingham. Here,it is the communication between the child and the bird. Child gives the proposal to the bird that she will give her all types of comforts like silken quilts,velvet bed,diomond-stones e.t.c. and asks bird to be her pet. Bird replied that She will not accept her comforts because her freedom is more important than money and comfort.
