Mining is injurious to miners and environment because:
1. The dust and noxious fumes from the mining areas can cause pulmonary diseases for those inhaling it, especially for miners.
2. There's a constant risk of collapsing mine roofs, inundations, and fires in the area of mining. Thus, mining causes dangerous environment for the miners to work in the mines.
3. The water sources in the area get polluted due to mining and dumping of waste. This causes water pollution.
4. Also, after the mining is complete, that area is left in the same condition. And , thus the land becomes barren , i.e. it cannot be used for any further activity.
