A source of sound has a frequency 2000 Hz if the speed of sound in air is 330 M per second find the distance covered by sound when the source completes 400 vibration

velocity=frequency× wavelength
330=2000×wavelength
33÷200=wavelength

so
after 400 vibrations,
the equation will be
length covered by wave
={no. of vibrations× wavelength}÷2
={400×33÷200}÷2
=66÷2
=33

frankenstein19: don't divide it by 2
sahil9335: How
frankenstein19: i thought that 1 vibration means 1crust and 1 trough
sahil9335: Pls explain
frankenstein19: but it is not so
frankenstein19: 1 vibration means either 1 crust or 1 trough
frankenstein19: so don't divide it by 2
frankenstein19: please follow me..
frankenstein19: answer is 66
sahil9335: OK thanks
