Every year on January 12, National Youth Day (Yuva Diwas or Swami Vivekananda Birthday) is celebrated with full enthusiasm and joy in India. It was first announced by the Indian government in the year 1984 to celebrate the birthday of Swami Vivekananda as National Youth Day. On the occasion of National Youth Day, various programs were organized by the Nehru Yuva Kendra at the Tulsi College, Anuppur on 15 January.
