How is 'OH functional group different from -COOH ? PLZ ANSWER

Hey! -COOH is a terminal functional group, it contians Carbon atom and hence numbering for IUPAC naming starts from it. On the other hand, -OH is not a terminal functional group.

Also, suffix for COOH is oic acid and for OH is ol.
