Our atmosphere (EARTH) consists of many gases like oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, etc. These are present in our atmosphere as a mixture which support life form.
While on Mars and Venus, Carbon dioxide gas is present in a very large amount (about 95%) which makes it very very hot and thus it doesn't support life too.
