Ozone is formed by mixing of a single atom of oxygen with a diatomic oxygen.

When UV rays strike a O2 molecule it splits into O and O. These bo5h molecules are very reactive,hence,they react with a O2 molecule to form O3 /Ozone.

O2 + UVrays => O + O (very reactive)

O2 +O. => O3 (Ozone).

Ozone is very necessary for all living beings as it protects us from Harmful UV rays.It reflect them back and absorb sunlight.

Agents like CFCs are very harmful to ozone.These splits the ozone layer and thus, this result in increment of temperature on earth and cause GLOBAL WARMING....

Hope it is helpful....

Thank you
