As the pH diminishes, the acidity is greater. When the pH increases, the acidity is lesser. Thus, the basicity increases.

Answer:

acidic strength refers to the concentration of h+ ions when an acid is in its aq. state ( dissolved in water- dilute form)

Explanation:

When, pH is less than 7.0 ( normal value / neutral value) the solution is said to be acidic. Lesser the pH value of the solution, stronger the acid is ( more conc.of h+ ions) . thus, pH value is always less than 7 for an acid.
