Phenol is an organic compound which contains benzene rings, so it is easy to prepare phenol using the Chlorobenzene.
Chlorobenzene is a part of haloarenes, and they are formed by the monosubstitution of the benzene ring.
On fusing the chlorobenzene with NaOH at 623K and 320 atm, you will get sodium phenoxide as output.
Finally, acidifying the sodium phenoxide gives phenols.
