------- POPULATION DISTRUBUTION-----

☆ Population distrubution depends on the factors like physical, climatic etc.

☆ India is the second largest populated country in the world after China.

☆ Indian population is distributed as 28 states and Seven union territories.

☆ These 28 states and 7 union territories further distributed as districts.

☆ In India there are almost 500+ districts ( approx).

☆ These districts further divided into mandals.

☆ These mandals are divided as villages.

☆ The population is measured by Census for every 10 years.

The population in cities are :

☆ Populated cities with more than 1 crore population are called as Mega cities ex: Delhi, Mumbai etc.

☆ Populated cities with more than 1 million to 10 millions are called as Metropolitan cities ex : Hyderabad, Banglore.

☆ The cities with population around 1 lakh are called as Towns and cities.

☆ The places with population less than this are either villages, mandals and hamlets...

The population is distributed because,

The Elections etc can work properly.

It is not a easy task to record a whole country's population.
