Animals play an important role in the spreading of plants. One way they do this is when they eat fruits. They either spit out the seed or pass it out in their excreta. These seeds become new plants. This technique is practiced by the blueberry, cherry, apple plants etc.
Another technique for seed dispersal by animals is done by plants like Burdock. The fruit has hooks attached. These hooks stick to the animals fur, and when it cleans it off, the fruit falls off and the seed inside can germinate if conditions are suitable.

These methods enable seeds to be scattered far away from the parent plant, which increases the chance of survival, as fewer plants compete for resources. Also, this increases diversity.

Hope this helps! :)
