Potable water
Water that is safe to drink and can be used by mankind blindly is known as the potable water. Majority of water on the earth surface is the portable water.
For eg : the water that comes at your home from the tap is the portable water.
Unfortunately less than 0.2% portable water is available to us and is safe to use however rest of the portion is covered by saline water.
Water as resource And it's Use and misuse by Human beings :
As potable water is already less in concentration but knowingly or unknowingly human beings are blindly polluting it numerous ways :
- By disposing waste in river water
- by blindly wasting the water.
Several human activities can also affect the groundwater and even the whole ecosystem.
However rainwater harvesting in other plants are also implemented by human beings to create awareness in this field.
conservation of potable water is very essential as it is already less in amount and man cannot survive without a portable water because drinking the saline water is not at all possible percentages occupied by polar ice cap so human beings need to use the portable water wisely.
