rayon is made from wood pulp by mixing some chemicals.
it is called artificial silk because it looks shiny and smooth like silk.

rayon is a natural based material that is made frm the cellulose of wood pulp or cotton .
fibre obtained by chemically treating wood pulp is called rayon or artificial silk .rayon cannot be called as natural fibre because it is man made .since it is prepared artificially and posses properties similar to silk and can be woven like silk.

2.easy to dye in a wide range of colours and drapes well.
