red soil is formed in the regions of heavy rainfall and high temperature.

features :-

  • It is red because of content of iron
  • It turns yellow when it is in hydrated form
  • It is good soil for growing groundnut.

hey friend they are formed by weathering of granite , gneiss and other crystalline rocks.

they are generally red or reddish brown in colour

they are more sandy and less clayey

they do not retain moisture
