in Hydra the reproduction takes place by the development of bud whereas in amoeba the nucleus and cytoplasm simply divide to form 2 daughter cells

Amoeba reproduces asexually by the method of binary fission in which one amoeba splits into 2 daughter cells whereas hydra reproduces asexually by formation of buds which on maturing detaches itself from the parent plant. In hydra a small part of parent plant swells to form a bud which after some time detaches itself from the parent plant.
