Hey there!

Don't Confuse between RESPIRATION & BREATHING:

★ BREATHING-

It's the process of taking oxygen into the lungs and carbon dioxide out of the lungs for Exchange of Gases to take place so that oxygen (need of body) can be absorbed from the lungs into the blood and carbon dioxide (now a waste) is removed from the blood and breathed out from the lungs.

★ RESPIRATION-

Respiration is the release of energy in form of the break down of Glucose (Essential
for Energy) in living cells. Respiration takes place in every living cell and all cells need to respire to produce the energy they need.

Hope it helped ^_^
