How is silk fibre produced by silk moth?

The silkworm starts to contract its body and extrude the silk composed by the fibroin protein and coated by gum-like protein sericin from its mouth. A hammock of silk spins out first to support the structure of cocoon. The silk cocoon then spins out and covers itself completely.
