How do humans produce sound?
The lung, the "pump" must produce adequate airflow and air pressure to vibrate vocal folds. The vocal folds (vocal cords) then vibrate to use airflow from the lungs to create audible pulses that form the laryngeal sound source. ... Singers use the human voice as an instrument for creating music.

Sound is produced by vibrating body. The vibrating object produces compression and rarefaction pulses, one after the other in the medium. These pulses travel one behind the other as the sound wave. When this sound wave reaches our ears, it forces our tymphanic membrane to vibrate and thus causing the sensation of hearing.
