How is sound produced ?how does it propagate? Can it travel through the vacuum

Sound is produced by the vibrations of a vibrating body.
Sound is propogated by waves-the two types of waves which propogated sound waves are transverse wave and longitudinal wave.
Sound cannot travel through vacuum because for sound to be heard there should be a material mefium
