Because in Punjab you'll find people engaged in agricultural activities which also tends to give a good income....while in Kerala you'll find competition amongst individuals for a better life........Punjab since being an agricultural state lags behind many things compared to Kerala.......education, infrastructure, sex ratio, opportunities, challenging environment...... so nevertheless everything requires time......
