There are some physical and internal changes during adolescence. These changes prepare reproductive life during adolescence.

  • Development of Sex Organs:-

At this age, Sex organs start developing in both girls and boys.

In girls, the ovaries enlarge and eggs begin to mature. Also ovaries start releasing mature eggs. In bys, male sex organs like the testes and penis develop completely. Testes begin to produce sperms.

  • Mental, Intellectual and Emotional maturity:-

Adolescence is the period of change in a person way of thinking. During this age intellectual development takes place. At this time, brain has the highest capacity for learning. At this age adolescents feel in a better way.

  • Secondary sexual characters:-

Testes and ovaries are the reproductive organs. They produce gametes. These are known as sperms and ova. In girls breast begin to develop and boys begin to grow facial hair. These are known as secondary sexual characters. Both boys and girls develop hair under the arms and pubic regions.
