how is the cactus adapted from growing in the desert??

cactus is a desert plant it adapted in growing in desert by -
1) sun-kern stomata , they are present in deep furrows so water is wasted or evaporated less
2) there roots are very long so they go down in soil and absorb water

cactus has leaves modified into spines to avoid transpiration
cactus has a wax coating on it's body to avoid transpiration
cactus also have long roots to take more ground water
