Given :-

☄ Power of bulb, P = 100W = 0.1 kW

☄ Cost of 1 Unit (kWh) = ₹ 4

☄ Time, t = 20h

To find :-

the electric energy consumed and the cost

Solution :-

The electrical energy consumed by an electrical appliance is given by the product of its power rating and the time for which it is used.

➠ Electrical energy, E = P × t

➠ E = 0.1 × 20 kWh

➠ E = 2 kWh

so, the electrical energy consumed is 2kWh.

Cost of 1 unit = ₹4

Cost of 2 unit = ₹(2 × 4) = ₹8

the cost of tht electrical energy consumed is 8Rs.

→ E = P × t

→ E = 0.1 × 20 kWh

→ E = 2 kWh

the electrical energy consumed is 2kwh

the cost of electrical energy consumed is 2 × 4 = ₹8.
