how is the first microscope different from the modern one?

the first microscope .they were all are very small and had a very similar design and function and had less zooming but modern microscope is designed with laser technology so it has a powerful zooming than ever.

pslschandana: The early simple "microscopes" which were only magnifying glasses had one power, usually about 6x - 10x. One thing that was very common and interesting to look at, were fleas and other tiny insects, hence these early magnifiers called "flea glasses".
Later Developments
All the early microscopists saw quite distorted images due to the low quality of the glass and imperfect shape of their lenses. Little improvment was done in 19th century.
