How is the human body compared to a temple

Like how one would treat a temple, one is also supposed to treat their body in a similar fashion. A temple in the olden days was repeatedly cleaned, watched, and offering were made. People would bring food and oil offerings to the temple in hopes of God or gods to be pleased. Today we do the same thing. We bathe, feed and drink pleasantries, and we look after ourselves to ensure we are of good health. Hope this helps!
