this message is appropriate for the poem . the world is like a mirror. if we are good and our actions are for the benefit of other, the nature gives us good things and good luck to enjoy. The abbot of aberbrothok was good and tid the inchcape bell to the inchcape rock to avoid ship wrecks in that area and to save lives. thus, he always had good luck and had a happy life.
on the other hand, if we are bad and do things for the loss of others the nature gives us bad luck and we do not have a happy life. this is the law of nature. the pirate was very bad and wanted to bring a bad name to the abbot, but, this bad deed of his, lead him to his death.
