How is the movement of oxygen similar to movement of carbon dioxide

Both oxygen and carbon dioxide flow across their pressure gradient. That is they move from the area of their higher partial pressure to their area of lower partial pressure. Also both bind to hemoglobin in the blood and form intermediate compounds for transportation.
