The tale of a sand story

The story is told in the first person and begins with a brief list of examples of the infinite found in the explanation of geometric principles. The narrator then drops off, deciding that meditations on geometry are not the best way to begin his story. He then claims that while assertions of veracity are a common enough conceit in the world of fiction, the tale he is about to tellis, in fact, true. Said tale begins when the narrator is visited in his apartment in Buenos Aires by a Bible salesman. The myopic narrator has difficulty describing the physical appearance of the visitor first mistaking him for an old H SY man because of his sparse, white-blonde hair but can tell that he is foreign and not particularly well-off financially. Over the course of the ensuing conversation, the stranger mentions that he is originally from the Northern Isles of Scotland.
