How is the Pyramid of biomass is inverted in Pond ecosystem?we know large fishes feed on small fishes.If small fishes are less in biomass,how is it possible that large fishes have greater biomass?

I also had a trouble regarding that but the phytoplankton reproduce as rapidly as they are eaten up so I guess this pyramid can be inverted at a time.
