Mohammed GHAZNI invaded India to LOOT and PLUNDER in the beginning of 11th.Century. He did NOT establish a KINGDOM or RULE in India. He always went back to his KINGDOM based out of GAZNA.(now in Afghanistan).
Md.Ghori (whose name was Muizz-ad-Din Muhammad) was the RULER/sultan of the Ghurid EMPIRE who invaded Northwest India and finally reached upto Delhi to defeat Prithviraj Chauhan in the 2nd Battle of TARAIN in 1091 and firmly established his rule in NORTH INDIA and the beginning of the LONG ISLAMIC RULE in the Indian subcontinent.
He made QUTUBUDDIN-AIBAK the Governor of DELHI and thus began the DELHI SULTANATE. Also called the SLAVE DYNASTY as Qutbuddin was Md.Ghori SLAVE GENERAL.
Hope it helps
