river water is converted into potable water for a city water supply system by in the following steps ..
1.at first the water is stored in large tank for sedimentation .
2.then alum is added to that water so that all the impurities get separated from that water .
3.and then the water is chlorinated so that all the infections are the bacteria would be killed from this Glory.
4.and at last the water is finally filtrate and stored in thanks for the supply .
