solids are the substances with definite mass and shape where as liquid have definite mass and don't have definite shape they take the shape of container.

solids' molecules are tightly packed whereas liquids ' molecules are loosely .

shape of solid molecules are fixed whereas the shape of liquids molecules are not fixed .
