Spores are the naked embryos they have thick walls to protect them from harsh conditions such as heat cold etc... This is because spores need to withstand unfavourable conditions. When the favourable conditions arrive, they burst.So, to protect themselves thhey have a thick wall. spores are asexual reproductive bodies.
