how is the timing of the ration shop convinient for agriculture and casual wage labourers?
Answers
Ration shops in India are generally open between 9 AM and 6 PM. Some of them are closed in the afternoon for an hour, for lunch break. Some of them open late at 9.30 AM and work straight until 6 PM. However, such shops are open on the first two Sundays of the month. Agricultural and casual labourers can therefore go to these shops, after their work in the evening, or on any of the first two Sundays of the month.
Ration shops, also known as Fair Price Shops, distribute staple food grains, sugar and kerosene at very subsidised, government fixed rates to eligible public. They are maintained by the Food Corporation of India.
Timings of the ration shop are convenient for agricultural and casual wage labourers on the first two Sunday's of the month or at the evening after their work hours....
Hope it helps...
