How is the yolk sac formed? What is the function of the yolk sac?

The yolk sac is the membrane sac attached to an embryo, formed by a cell of the hypoblast adjacent to the embryonic disk.

The yolk sac is a extra embryonic membranous structure found in embryo. Yolk sac is formed by vittelus . Yolk sac provides nutrition to the embryo.
