Solution :

Step 1 of 2 :

Find the income of Ram and Ravi

Here it is given that Income of Ravi is 20% more than that of Ram

Let income of Ram = 100x

Then income of Ravi

= 100x + 20x

= 120x

Step 2 of 2 :

Find the Income of Ram is how much less than income of Ravi

Difference in income

= 120x - 100x

= 20x

Hence the required percentage

$\displaystyle \sf{ = \frac{20x}{120 x} \times 100\%}$

$\displaystyle \sf{ = \frac{1}{6} \times 100\%}$

$\displaystyle \sf{ = \frac{100}{6} \%}$
