2) It brings up the nutrients present below the soil up so that the plants can get the necessary nutrients easily.

3) It also helps in the removal of weeds and undesirable roots.

Tilling also called ploughing, it is done before sowing seeds. It is done to break down the soil into crumbs or pieces which allows the earthworms to come out.
