How is transport of water in plants different from the transport of food and other substances?

Answer:the transport of food , water and other substances takes place with the help of xylem and phloem . Xylem transports water and various other minerals extracted from soil via roots(root hair) and phloem helps in transportation of food from leaves to other parts of the plant.
