The velocity of sound is inversely propertion to the square root of density of gas i.e. V=√gama p/ density it is clear that V is inversely propertional to square root of density

The density of oxygen is 16 times the density of hydrogen therefore the speed of sound in hydrogen is 4 times the speed of sound in oxygen

Answer:

Explanation:

Vrms. = (3RT/M)^1/2 = (3P/D)^1/2

Therefore, v is inversely propotional to square root of density.
