Hey ,here is ir answer.

The density of water (1000 kg/m3) is higher than the density of oil(870 kg/m3). Now keeping the same volume for both water and oil the mass would be greater for water.Hence the water is heavier than oil.

we have read about the emulsion in which the the two types are present oil in water and water in oil in first one oil is in less quantity so it floats but in second one oil is in more quantity and water is in less so in this water floats on water
