Answer::

x -  \frac{ 4}{5x}  =  \frac{1}{5x}

Now multiply x/1 by 5 make the numerators same to subtract

 \frac{x}{1}  \times  \frac{5}{5}  -  \frac{4}{5x}  =  \frac{1}{5x}

 \frac{5 -4}{5x }  =  \frac{1}{5x}

 \frac{1}{5x}  = \frac{1}{5x}

Answer:

The value of x is ±1.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : x-\frac{4}{5x} =\frac{1}{5x}

To find : The value of x=?

Solution :

  • The given expression is,

      x-\frac{4}{5x} =\frac{1}{5x}

  • To find the value of x, we have to do cross multiplication.
  • The equation is,

       x-\frac{4}{5x} =\frac{1}{5x}

  • By cross multiplication, we get

       \frac{x*5x-4*1}{5x} = \frac{1}{5x}

      ∴ \frac{5x^{2} -4}{5x} =\frac{1}{5x}

  • Transpose 5x to other side, we get

          ∴ 5x^{2} -4=\frac{5x}{5x}

          ∴ 5x^{2} -4=1

  • Transpose -4 to other side, we get

            ∴ 5x^{2} =1+4

               ∴ 5x^{2} =5

                 ∴ x^{2} =\frac{5}{5}

                 ∴ x^{2} =1

  • Taking square roots of both the sides, we get

                 ∴ x= ±1

  • ∴ The value of x is ±1.
