This answer is really long. But i am sure it is worth your time. Hi…I gave my JEE Mains exam in 2020 and got a rank in top 1000. I am going anonymous as I dont want my fellow friends and teachers who are on quora to see this answer.

I got 71% in my class 10 boards. Everyone in my house were not happy. Since education is the top priorities in my family, all my relatives(grandparens, uncle, aunt, elder cousin) were not happy. They scolded me(especially my parents uncle and grandparents). Although they wanted the best for me, i was unhappy with their recaction. My school teacher also was unhappy. But she was the only one who told my parents that I worked really hard. She was the one who motivated me. I was crying in the classs when she saw me. She spoke to me and gave me a warm hug. She is like my mother to me. I understnd why all are unhappy, infact i was also unhappy with it, but their reaction was too harsh. They told that “ Your cousins and all are in the state;s best college, but you have let our families respect down”. No one scored less than 85 percent in my family.

I told my parents that I will prepare for JEE. My elder cousins who were in top college of our state told me to take commerce as they felt i was not capble of doing science. My friends who got 90+, laughed when i told i a,m preparing for JEE.

No one took me seriously in my family and school those 2 years. I convinced my parents to enroll me in a coaching of my nearby institute. They somehow agreed. Although the best rank from that coaching is 16,000 or something, that also was 2 years ago by some student

All those harsh words turned into anger which fuelled me to study hard for next 2 years. I dint want IIT, I wanted to prove them wrong. It was me fighting a lone battle.

As class started, I made notes during classes, and revised them in home. I never solved that coaching material as it was not a reputed institute. I managed to arrange VMC modules from my senior. So i attended class in that local coaching, and solved VMC modules.

I used to have classes on Monday. Wednesday. Friday from 430 to 8. The coaching was walkable from my house. And my school timing was 8 to 2. So i will tell in detail about my preparation

Hi dear,

My name is Uttam

I saw you asking different questions of all the streams of their Journey

There is no specific journey. Just to move with the flow

I am a JEE aspirant completed 12th this year and preparing for competitive exams which are going to be conducted in a week or two. So, it's been two years of hard work, working for the aim which I decided to achieve.

So, when I started doing these two years ago, it was hard to do. I couldn't understand how the problem to be solved. Later, after the days passed, I understood that the conceptual knowledge and critical thinking is more required for the problems to be done. Slowly and gradually I caught up the pace and started to do in a well way. So, I just kept the fire in me to achieve the goal and kept practicing. Mugging up is not at all useful for the students who want to pursue JEE. Just, chemistry or some chapters of Physics can be kept in mind as they are of memory-based. Even formulas need to be understood. I feel like till 10th, we just used keep all the formulas in mind and according to the requirements, we kept the desired formula and went on solving the problem. But JEE is of other case. you will  have formulas to be learnt, but it should be done as per usage. Because 1 formula can be converted into 3 or 4 types and could solve the other problem. So, it needs the thorough practice, patience and a well-understanding mind. [I am not threatening you. I am just sharing the thoughts and Ideas which i felt while I was doing them]. So, it just need a sharp mind to do. If u r sharp enough u could solve any problem easily. There is one more aspect considered in JEE. that is Problem solving skills which makes an important role in your practice. This can be done when we do loads of problems and lots of questions. There are modifications to be done on some problems. So, we must know where, when, what are the modifications to be done. This can happen only when we come across through various types of questions. So, this was my practice Journey for my JEE. So, now my result will say the worthed work I have done.

So.... That's it!

Actually I am feeling like I have giving the process and procedure for being a JEE aspirant, and not my journey, lol. But it is some kind of a journey as I didnt write my exam yet

And also I assure this can also help many of the people who pursue JEE.

I think, most of the readers who read this, will like it.

Hope this helps!!
