joint legged orgainsms simply means arthopods

some of them fed on  pre-digested bodies of insects and other small animals. hence in this way they digest the dead remaining of animal and helps in recycling of nutrient hence increases the fertility of soil.

Joint legged organisms belong to the phylum Arthropods. This phylum contains a vast range of organism from a small house fly to a giant scorpion. Few of them mainly feed on plants and fruits such as grasshopper and locusts. These organisms live in fields and feed on these plants and excrete organic waste material which mixes up in soil and increase the soil fertility.

Secondly, these organism attract their predators such as snake and mouse which mainly lives underground and make holes in the grounds which also helps in the aeration and circulation of nutrients in the soil by rotating the soil layers.
