The most large difference of them is because India is a peninsular country it have coast on its both East and West side and these two are commonly known as Eastern ghats(coast) and Western ghats(coast)

Eastern coast is nearest to the Bay of Bengal while Western Coast is nearest to the Arabian Sea.

Eastern coast is wider than the western coast while also Eastern coast consists of more population than of western coast.

Minerals like Thorium is mostly found in the eastern coast but western coast consists of the natural natural resources e.g, natural gas, coal, etc.
