The assumptions are that as you know that the beast titan was 17 metres tall and also had one of the most powerful attacks and could also call the titans for help , It was almost impossible for Levi Ackerman to defeat the Beast titan who was actually Zeke Yeager . But in the manga and anime series after several tries , as the beast titan appears again , Levi detonates them, Killing the beast titan and injuring Zeke who was controlling the beast titan . This time levi was superfast and also Beast titan didn't have good eyesight so Levi ackerman finally defeated him .
