Organisms obtain energy from the food they consume. The food consumed by the organisms undergo cellular respiration as a result of which energy is released. Mitochondria are called power houses of the cells.

living organisms obtain energy from food by some process like ingestion , digestion , absorption , respiration .

digestion = food brakes into very small parts and made easy to absorb

absorption = digest food is absorbed by finger like structure called villi , it connect with blood stream

respiration = O² we , brakes the glucose molecules into energy

and after thta we use this energy
