How long does it take for a frog to decompose?

won't matter. I have a skunk, groundhog and racoon in mine---good nitrogen sources. Flies can't get to them in the middle of a hot pile and we don't have free running dogs around here to dig things up.

Thank God I don't have to go digging around to find that dead frog! That would have been disgusting!!!

One other question-----How long before you can actually use the compost in your garden? Will I know when it is ready?

The Frog

Explanation:

  • A few frogs overwinter at the base of lakes, remaining alive by breathing through their skin.
  • In extreme winters when a lake is totally solidified for quite a while, vegetation will begin to decay and decrease the oxygen levels in the water. This can choke out the frogs and different creatures under the water.
  • Its own semi unrestrained choice in shallow water a frog will remain under for at any rate 4 minutes with no evident sick impact.
  • Dry rot starts somewhere in the range of 25 and 50 days after death and can last as long as a year.
  • The main remainders of the body are dry skin, hair, and bones. Presumably following a half year, just the dry skin, hide and bones remain.
  • This is the last stage before the frog kicks the bucket. It will coast, legs spread, and it will get lazy. You may even poke it, yet it stays still (yet alive).
  • A frog can feel compromised by you and thusly chomp you to safeguard himself.this never occurs with frogs.
  • One of only a handful barely any animal groups that do nibble are the Pacman frogs.
  • They have little and sharp teeth that can hurt you and the nibble can even draw a little blood.
