Second Anglo- Maratha War (1803-1805) fought at different fronts.Gains for the British. Acquired territories north of the Yamuna river, Agra, Delhi and Orissa from the Marathas.

Third Anglo- Maratha War (1817-1819) crushed the Maratha power. Peshwa pensioned off, sent to Bithur. The company gained absolute control over areas south of the Vindhyas.
