How long will a car take to travel a distance of 120 kilometres on a road, where the speed limit of the road is 65 km/h for first 100 kilometres and then the speed limit is only 30 km for rest of the distance? The top speed of the car is merely 60 km/h.​

total km= 120 km

speed limit for first 100km=65 km/hr

speed limit after 100km=30km/hr

speed of the car=60 km/hr

first 100km:

distance÷speed=time

120÷60

2 hours

after 100km:

120-100=20km

distance÷ speed=time

20÷30(bcoz after 100km the speed is automatically 30km/hr)

0.6 hours

total time taken:

2 hr  + 0.6 hr

2.6 hours or

0.6 x 60 + 2 x 60

= 156 mins
