The possible no. of such cubes is 8.

Solution :-

v(cube)=a³

v(bigger cube) n•v(smaller cube) ; n=no. of cubes

i.e. (16)³/(8)³=n

n=4096/512

Hence

n=8

Hope u got it

volume \: of \: cube = side \times side \times side \\ no \: of \: cubes =  \frac{volume \: of \: cube \: with \: edge \: 16cm }{volume \: of \: cube \: with \: edge \: 8m}  \\  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  =  \frac{16 \times 16 \times 16}{8 \times 8 \times 8}  \\   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: = 2 \times 2 \times 2 = 8
